Maria is also an artist, writer,  andsometimes an illustrator. She is on the editorial board of Vagant. Her education is from Bergen National Academy of the Arts and the Hordaland Writer's Academy.

When our exhibitions are open to the public you will meet BJØRN-HENRIK LYBECK in our reception. He is currently a student at the Bergen National Academy of the Arts and his interest is to cultivate open dialogues with our audiences.

All our exhibitions and other activities are produced with utmost care and consideration by PETRA RAHM, who is Hordaland Art Centre's coordinator. Petra is also an artist, sharing studios at Dokken with a group of Bergen based artists.

In team with our head technicians ALEKSANDER STAV and BJØRN MORTENSEN our exhibiting artists can focus on their contribution to our programme, knowing that the production will be in their safe hands.

Every weekend the gallery space and bookshop will be kept open to the public by art historian ESPEN JOHANSEN. His perspectives on the art on display can be enjoyed while visiting our weekend café.

All our finances are kept in order by ANNBJØRG FJELLHAUG who knows the most intimate details of our operations.
