FORUM IN & OUT: EVERYTHING YOU DO IS A BALLOON
Hordaland Art Centre becomes a picnic site, with a screening, sound works, exchange, food and drinks hosted by resident Daniela Castro.
Artists, writers and curators are welcome to bring along a sample, documentation or an actual art work or piece of music to start an exchange of ideas. Equipment for screenings and sound works are available, as is a computer to show digital works.
The exhibition, café and bar will be open. Participants are also welcome to bring snacks/food of their own choice to this picnic.
In & Out: Everything you do is a Balloon starts around 4 PM and will last a few hours.

Daniela Castro (1976, Brazil) is Hordaland Art Centre's resident May 2010, she is a writer and curator, based in São Paulo, Brazil. Castro graduated in Art History from University of Toronto (2003/Canada). She has been awarded study grants and residency fellowships at the University of Hong Kong (2002/China), Peggy Guggenheim Collection Museum (2005/Italy) and the Art Gallery of York University (2007/Canada). Conceived and curated the Recombining Territories, an itinerant and interchanging exhibition that’s travelled seven capitals of Brazil (2006-2008). Curated Lights Out, the inaugural exhibtion at the Museum of Image and Sound – MIS (2008/São Paulo). Her artistic collaborations (performances and installations) include projects with David Grassi, Coco Fusco, Fred Forrest and Luiz Duva. She’s been publishing widely in national and international art publications, and taught workshops on art writing and curatorial practices throughout Brazil.
