FORUM JOHAN LUNDH
Each month our residency guests will present their own work, a chosen theme, a current interest or present their residency project. The Swedish curator and writer Johan Lundh is Hordaland Art Centre's guest in November, and he´ll give a talk on November 2nd at 7 PM.
In his presentation Lundh will talk about his ongoing, three-part project Nomadic Minds, which was initiated this fall and will conclude in the fall of 2011. The project engages with and reflects upon the relationship between international mobility and creative practices through examining residency programs.
The first part of Nomadic Minds is a nine-month research period. The second part is a three-month residency at the newly initiated Residence Botkyrka in Stockholm, Sweden. Together with experts in the field, Lundh will examine the material gathered and prepare a public presentation of the results. The third part is a symposium discussing the history, present and possible future of residency programs, in the same spirit as the seminar held at Hordaland Art Centre earlier this fall, curated by the editors of the Norwegian art yearbook 2010. Lundh´s symposium will also result in a website which will become an archive over the event and a resource for artists and art professionals.
