FORUM CÉCILE BELMONT
By using simple means and techniques, her work asserts itself as a space where the fragile intensity of the human – with its emotions, desires, relationship with the others and with reality – is put back into the center of thought.
During the residency Belmont will work on an embroidery project titled The same piece of land under our feet, which deals with the relationship between landscape and memory by observing the sites of the Atlantic Wall in Norway, France and Germany. On the talk at Hordaland Art Centre Cécile Belmont will present both this and her earlier works.
The presentation will be given in English.
