B-OPEN 2009
To speak- The Practice of Conversation in Contemporary Art.
The workshop is directed towards artists wishing to develop their discursive arsenal and confidence in speaking in larger assemblies. Through practical exercises, art-related examples and simple techniques participants will expand their rhetorical repertoir. The workshop is separate from the seminar 30 October, but can also be seen as a preparation.
Workshop objective:
- To speak in large assemblies
- To develop articualtion skills
- How to promote views effectively
- Gain confidence in speaking publicly
- Reflection on own impact on the environment
- Be constructive when presenting arguments in stressed situations

Fee: NOK 120 incl. seminar / NOK 100 excl. seminar. Paybale upon arrival.
The workshop will be held in Norwegian.

Hordaland Art Centre is one of three partners in the organisation B-open. B-open organises a seminar every autumn, and open studios throughout Bergen every second year (not in 2009), and thus create a forum for a diverse discussion on contemporary arts in Bergen. The two other partners are BKFH and NKVN.
